What is the PaceLab Bespoke + programme?

The PaceLab Bespoke + programme combines the PaceLab Bespoke and Hybrid programmes, offering personalized training for bowlers. You receive an initial assessment, an individualised fast bowling programme made exclusively for you, as well as fortnighty check-ins with a PaceLab Coach to ensure proper execution and progress tracking, allowing for adjustments to maximize training outcomes.

PaceLab Bespoke Gold (Online)

PaceLab Bespoke Pro Gold is our premium, entirely online support solution for fast bowlers in India. Overseen entirely by Steffan Jones, you will receive daily interaction, and programme creation from Steffan himself. The programme is built around you; when you can train, how much equipment you have, all with the aim of making you most successful on the pitch. We currently have several Ranji Trophy players on this successful programme.

What is the PaceLab Bespoke Gold programme?

Initial 1-1 Online Consultation with Steffan Jones–The initial consultation aims to introduce the programme, explain how everything works and help getyou up and running with all the systems. This will take place Online via Teams. This is also an excellent opportunity to ask any questions about the programmes you may have. You will be asked to complete the following tasks before the consultation so that Steffan can go through your planned intervention on the call

  • Technical- PitchWolf Bowling Technique Assessment.
  • Physical- Upper and Lower Body Strength and Power Assessment (ForceDecks or Medicine Ball)
  • Bowling Velocity- Regular + Weighted Ball OU Bowling Speeds (Using Ludimos or Speed Gun)
  • Neurotyping Assessment

• Full Fast Bowling Year-Round Programme creation based around you- PaceLab uses Volt Athletics to give you access to the latest Fast Bowling management software available on the market.

• Early Access to the PaceLab Workload App- Become an exclusive user of the PaceLab Workload Management App so you can truly manage your first bowling load like a professional.

• Around-the-clock accountability and support from the PaceLab Team.

What do you get on the PaceLab Bespoke Silver Programme?

Initial 30-Minute Online Consultation with Steffan Jones and a Member of the PaceLab Team The purpose of this initial consultation is to introduce the program, explain how everything works, and help you get set up with all the necessary systems. This session will take place online and is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the programs. Before the consultation, you will be asked to complete a few tasks. During the meeting, Steffan will provide recommendations, and the other PaceLab coaches will assist in implementing and monitoring these suggestions.

  • Technical- Full Fast Bowling Technical Analysis provided in PDF (Side on and Rear Video Required). Please note you do not get a Pitchwolf Analysis with this.
  • Tactical- Ludimos Accuracy Assessment
  • Physical- Upper and Lower Body Strength and Power Assessment (Force Decks or Medicine Ball)
  • Bowling Velocity- Regular + Weighted Ball OU Bowling Speeds (Ludimos or Pocket Radar)

Being a fast bowler, I have always been fascinated by various ways to train the body in order to get the most out of it. But not before I met Stef, did I actually realise that it is not about abusing the body with mass load of training, but more about specific training for your body type and bowling style! He has come to these conclusions after years of doing it all by himself and thus his knowledge-field is vast. Everything that he does in terms of designing a fast bowler’s fitness regime has significance and makes a lot of sense even to a layman, its that simple yet effective! I have never been as strong as I am now, and that is after grinding through the whole 6-month domestic season and bowling nearly 500 overs and taking close to 100 wickets across all formats! Cricket is allergic to first principles research and hence finding coaches who are willing to sacrifice short term results for more solid overall development are rare. With this background the Rajasthan Royals went about its search for someone who could work on the development of its fast bowlers. The search ended at the door of Steffan Jones. He has used first principles to come up with a methodology to define bowler types and then uses fundamental research to get them stronger and faster. Each step in the process is based around a combination of science and research around the movements of the human body.
