THE FAST BOWLING PROBLEM

FAST BOWLERS DEVELOP DIFFERENTLY

Different bodies. Different actions. Different strengths. Different limiting factors.

Yet too many fast bowlers are still given the same drills, the same cues and the same physical programme. One bowler may need more force. Another better sequencing. Another robustness, control or execution.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CLEAR ANSWERS BEFORE

THE NEXT STEP.

Question 1: Will PaceLab change the bowlers action?

We do not begin with a predetermined action model. The first job is the understand the bowler, the demands they face and the factors influencing performance. Any technical work will have a clear reason.

Question 2: Does the programme only focus on pace?

No. Pace matters but effective fast bowling also requires accuracy, consistency, skill, physical preparation and the ability to execute in a game.

Question 3: Is gym and physical development work included?

The working South West programme inclides development level physical programming between academy sessions. Final delivery details will be confirmed in the programme information.

Question 4: Can a bowler attend alongside county, school or club training?

Yes, subject to workload and schedule managemenbt. PaceLab is designed to complement, not ignore, the player's wider cricket environment.
