PaceLab is pleased to announce the opening of the Pace Like Fire Academy in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Following the success of our London and Millfield Academies, this new initiative aims to enhance the training experience for aspiring fast bowlers in the region.

The Pace Like Fire Academy differentiates itself from traditional cricket academies through its innovative programme, developed by esteemed Fast Bowling Coach Steffan Jones. This tailored curriculum emphasises holistic development using the skill stability paradigm, facilitating long-lasting improvements in both technique and inner mechanics. Graduates of the Pace Like Fire programme will become faster, more accurate, and more resilient, acquiring essential skills for success in competitive cricket.

We are proud to introduce Dr Harvey Anderson as the programme overseer. With over 30 years of experience in coaching first-class and international teams, Harvey is a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and is highly regarded in cricket coaching and education. His expertise will be instrumental in shaping the programme and coaching methods, ensuring participants receive exceptional training. Additionally, Steffan Jones and the PaceLab Team will provide ongoing support through regular visits and remote assistance.
Training sessions will be held every Sunday during term time, divided into two 10-week blocks: one before Christmas and another after. Our academy complements the quality training provided by private academies and professional pathways in the region, offering additional support necessary for athletes to reach their full potential. We plan to run a camp in the summer to showcase the PaceLab Methods.

We incorporate advanced sports science technology, featuring two proprietary applications:

1. The PaceLab Workload Management App: Ensures bowlers are optimally conditioned for the season.

2. The Pitchwolf Technical Analysis AI App: Provides feedback on bowling techniques, identifying areas for targeted improvement.

3. The Volt AI Strength and Conditioning App: Manages individual training programmes by automatically adjusting weights to ensure optimal training levels.
